Well it's Monday so that means I'm 'working'. You know I gotta spend some time reading how the fish are biting and good stuff like that before I get serious. Anyway, I put in solo at Kingston city park last Friday. I was pumped! Drove through a torrential downpour heading to the lake but the rain let up, heavy cloud cover and TVA was pulling water pretty hard. All seemed like a recipe for success. Didn't happen. Fished all the way down from Kingston to Blue Springs and points between without any success. Got one 10" bass on a 10" CR worm off a rock hump downlake from Caney Creek. That was around 8:30. Then went until around 1:30 until I got my next one on a brush hog in a mainlake cove in brush. It was about 12". Both fish were about 15' deep or so. Was going to try a rock hump JTF suggested at Thief Neck and as I was shutting down to idle toward it, a boat suddenly decided to turn on his lights. Crap! Fished mainlake banks and points in Caney creek area, Blue Springs, Bayside, around Rockwood park ramp, all over. Ran into a buddy in my fishing club and he was able to get several fish on a TR lizard he said but he was fishing the 15'-25' depths off of slick clay banks. Guess I was too shallow. Dunno. I've got a club tourney this upcoming Saturday night and if this past weekend is any indication, I'll be dontating $ to the winner.
