It was a tough day, windy and cold. The thing that hurt my bite from practice was the bright sun. I had been on fish in practice in the shallows around stumps with some scattered on lay downs. On Saturday all my spots that I had found fish on only produced two small fish.
I ended up with two keepers off some deeper points that I had fished in the past. They both were caght on red lipless baits. I had one largemouth and one smallmouth a little over 19". It weighed 3.65 pounds and I had a total weight of 6.24 for a tie for fourth. I would not have thought I would finish that high but there was some real good fishermen that didn't do so good.
As it was said in another post if you want to fish with some good guys and some different lakes you need to check us out. This year we are fishing Neeley Henery, Guntersville, Weiss, Nickajack, Chickamauga, Watts Bar and Louden. PM me for more info.
