Dr Phil and I made it out this morning for 2 hours of fishing. We were hoping for stripers, but instead, I got slimed. I caught the dumbest bluecatfish in the lake. It thought that my hardhead minnow was a threadfin shad. The shad were dying by the droves up there this am. Water temp on my two units were 41.6 and 43.

No other bites detected. We caught rocks, but no rockfish. emoUpsmile It was not a lost cause. I wanted to know exactly what the temp was and on the way home we swung by a place and got written permission to turkey hunt this year. What a wonderful day and the fellowship with the Lord on the trip up there this morning was worth it all. God is good. emoGeezer

how do you like those hardhead minnows?(you're talking about the jig body, right?)
AND about when do you expect the big white bass to hit the tailraces?...water temp wise

thanks for the info, DK

I would expect the white bass to show up when the water warms up another 4 or 5 degrees. They are always there in mid-march at the bar. We have caught a few around 3 pounds or so while striper fishing. Much fun.
