WB striper fishing Wednesday 1/3/07

Jwateacher and I fished 3 hours below Watts Bar dam this morning. We had 3 hookups. Teacher had one about 10 pounds (quick release at the boat) and I had two other hookups that pulled off after a short fight. Dense fog the entire time that we were fishing. Water temp about 50 degrees, and good water flow, just not enough fish to fool with up there. Where oh where have all the stripers gone? Three years ago under these conditions and we would have caught 30-40 stripers. emoScratch emoGeezer

DK I'm sorry to have missed out on the fellowship. It looks like from the last 2 days that you and teacher got some good fellowship time in. It makes you want to stay inside with a hot cup of coffee and fellowship.
The guys down at Weiss have been doing well on the stripers and crappie this winter. Maybe that's where they have gone.

The reason Weiss is so good is the same reason crappie fishing is so good down there. Alabama stocks regularly.
I was just kidding about the stripers moving down there.
