I went to the nuke plant this morning alone. I did not get skunked because I caught over 20 catfish that ranged frim 6" up to about 3#. So I guess I can call that a Weasel. Since I did mananage to weasel in a few pups.

I did get about three good hard runs on big fish. Two got off and one broke the knot at the hook. At about 11:00AM everything just went dead.

Rain came and I went home. Next time!

Liveliner,

You are a fishing fool! Ha, always nice to get a day on the water. Glad we didn't leave too many catfish blind from circle hooks.

Happy fishing

Way to go Liveliner! But quitting when the rain starts is not the sign of a committed fisherman.emoTongue emoRain emoGeezer

I never quit for anything except lighting. However, Today the fish just quit and I got no bites for over an hour. I was hungry, it started to rain, the river was white capping, I needed to go to see Tim at Performance Propeller, I had to get home to pick lil Sharkbait from school and I was bored with no hits from fish. Time to go!

Sounds like the bigger cat bite is slowing down a bit. Maybe they will pick back up in the next week or so. Folks tell me they bite good through November.
LL at least you got a little slime and a little slime is better than no slime.emoThumbsup

I've experienced that myself a few times my friend. Just ribbing you about the rain. Actually, if I see lightning or hear thunder in the distance, I'm the first one off the water. Call me big chicken or not, but call me safe. Just barely got off the water and missed a storm a few weeks ago. I had to run about 4 miles in my boat (and it is not a fast boat) and barely made it before all the "hail" broke loose because it was such a fast moving front.emoBigsmile emoGeezer
