Guys, go the the weather channel website and check out the monthly forecast for the rest of February. After this couple of days of cold, the lowest high temp predicted for the rest of the month is 51 degrees and the lowest cold temp predicted is 31 degrees. If this holds true, the water will begin to rapidly rise and the fish will turn on nicely. The crappie will be spawning in certain parts of the lake by late March. I just gotta get that boat running again. emoBigsmile emoGeezer

Thanks DK! I'm looking forward to the sllightly warmer weather, this cold run is just a little too hard on me right now. Big fish, here I come!! emoFish

Drum king I was about to post somethign to that concern myself. It is going to be awfully nice. This weekend looks like a winner and things should start gettig warmed up. I agree about getting the boat running, I've got mine about ready just have to do the fine tuning adjustments this weekend. How many people looking at getting out sat and sun? 60 for the highs.

Yeah but we all know they can not get tommorrow's forecast right. I hope they are right, I think, I am sort of liking this cold weather for the smallies. DK if you need a fix while your boat is down, load up and come on over. You are always welcome.

I don't trust the weather reports around here either!

I use my own version and it's accurate to the very second.

It's called a weather rock. I have a 2 foot cord with a small flat rock tied
around one end, then glued in place so rock doesn't slip out (the rock is
about half the size of a cell phone).

The other end of the cord is tied around something out in the open, yet above
the ground about 3-4 feet. Mine is hanging from the clothes line post.

This is how you can be an up the second; not minute or hour forecaster:
first you have to walk outside to your weather rock and look at it / touch it.

Then refer to this handy chart:

If the rock is wet; it's raining
If the rock is cold to the touch; it's cold outside
If the rock is wet and cold to the touch; it's cold and raining
If the rock is white; it's snowing (don't confuse bird crap with snow, there's no
green in snow)
If the rock is warm to the touch; it's sunny
If the rock is hot to the touch; it's a scorcher
If the rock is moving or swaying at all; It's slightly breezy
If the rock is swinging up and down; It's Gusty winds
If the rock is moving sideways; ummm run like hell - it's a tropical storm
or hurricane
And last but not lease
If the rock is shaking / shimmering or bouncing up and down; it's an earthquake

This is just for fun... I don't have one lol emoDance

Yes, same problem. We are going to start changing coil pks. We are going to get it fixed one way or another. This has to be an electrical/electronic problem. Quick repair I have been promised. Hal and I are planning on fishing the crappie tx this Saturday and I must have my boat back in order to make it. We will see how it goes. emoBigsmile emoGeezer
