Anyone dare to hazard a guess as to how much weight it will take to get a check at the Guntersville BFL this weekend? The BASS weekend series will be on the lake also Saturday. With everyone pre fishing this week, I bet most of the bass will be seeing "rattle baits" in their sleep Friday night.

If the BFL has a full field 200, I would think just above 15 pounds gets a check.

I wonder how many boats it will pull?

15?????....bet it takes at least 20 pounds to get a check. ;) I am going to say 22 pounds to get in the money. Jmax

bout 19 lbs. is my guess. There have been some big catches down there in the past month. And with the water temp changing like it has, them big ones should be biting and moving up. G'ville has a ton of quality fish in it. And just because its a BFL, doesn't mean there isn't going to be any pros fishing. I bet at least 15 bags will be at or over 19 lbs.

I'm with Jmax if the weather keeps coming up I bet the boater side will be at least 20lbs. and the co-angler will be around 15lbs or better.

Seriously, 20 pounds? I mean if a full field fishes, 40 people will get a check. Last year on March 1, Bama division fished G'ville, 200 boats and 12 pounds 14 ounces got a check. Not sure about the weather then. Feb. 24 of 2007, it took 16 pounds to get a check.

I mean I understand it will take 20 to get top 10, but individual t'ment and 40 weekend anglers catching 20 pounds would be incredible.

I don't think they will have a full field but it will for sure take 22 and change for a top 10. If they have 100 boats it will take 18.10 for a check. Full field still 16 for a check. Look for 28 to win they are munchin, going to be a good tournament. Also look for some 9 lb+ monsters to be weighed.

I called last week to enter as co angler and it was full. May have a large turn out. emoBang

Full field or full 200 co anglers?

I had thought that the BASS weekend series on the same day may keep the BFL from having a full field.

G'ville is an awsome lake I've heard about for yrs. I never had the pleasure to fish it but, I say it takes 16 lbs co-angler and 22 lbs boater to cash a check.

Boater Side-14 lbs

Co-angler-9 lbs

I seem to be lighter, but I believe the heavy rains over the next two days will slow things down. I hope I'm wrong.

POST FRONTAL conditions. it will take 12- 14 pounds to get a check 25 or 26 will win it. 5th place will have 20 and so on.
