I was asked by polo if I would like to go bass fishing when we saw each other at the CFF feast. We planned it for Monday morning. Got there early that morning and the first one I hooked was 3 lbs.emoSmile Then a four, another three and then a 6 and a half.emoParty I thought you all were going to be in trouble for the CFF Tx on the 3rd.emoEvil About that time a voice from the sky said,"Honey go make us some coffee." I said Huh??? Then again the voice said," Honey, go make us some coffee." Suddenly my trip went blank, I woke up and realized it was all a dream and I was still in bed and my wife wanted me to get up and go make coffee.emoBawl
I got up and made the coffee.emoRolleyes I was really getting ready this time and the phone rang and it was polo telling me he had to do a couple errands with his wife and was going to have to back out.emoBigsmile Well, I was all dressed to go so I went anyways. Got there for real this time about 8 and two guys on the bank told me they were not biting. I decided to hit a couple spots I have right down from the ramp and try some crappie. To my surprise I had one on the second cast but it was not a crappie, it was a nice keeper spot about 14 inches. I started working for crappie and managed about 7 when I got nailed by something bigger. Pulled real good and then came up. Another nice spot this time about 16 inches and I'd say at least 2 and half pounds.emoToast I caught eleven crappie in all and there was current flowing out of Wolftever. The next thing I know all current stopped and the fish did as well. About 30 minutes went by and the current did an aboutface and started flowing into the Wolf. The fish never turned back on.
I went out into the main lake and only managed about 8 little yellow bass. Never did find any LM so you all do not need to worry about me on the 3rd.emoCool Jmax
