I thought about going but decided since PaulJ is at a Bball tournament that I would just save my $150 entry and buy gas with it. emoRolleyes I was wondering who is the favorites of the ones that entered and how many showed up to fish this year. The catch meeting was a little lite this year,only 40 something boats fishing this year so I may have a chance to win something emoDance I think the rain and economy kept most away and that is a shame ,they are a good group of people and for a good cause.OH well at least it is gonna be raining all day like last year so good luck to all thats gonna fish
I have no idea but there are several guys including beetlespin and fishinvol that have been doing very well on the nick. I assume you can lock through so the Nick guys that have been doing so well I would think should do well on this one also. I predict that it will be a Nick win. Lamb and partner also should be a good call to place or win. emoScratch if they are in it. Jmax
Just 42 emoEek !!! That is lite considering what they are giving away. Last year they gave out like $20,000 with the three big fish pots all being won. I know they must be a little disappointed. Might should have lowered the entry price a little this year to try and increase the participation. You just never know in these tournament. emoConfused Jmax

They changed some of the rules,NO locking through and to win the big money 10# L/M -6# S/M so the nick boys will have to adapt to our lake and fish different,looking forward to a wet and cold day.
It was tempting to fish it, but I haven't fish Chick in 2 months...so dropping that kind of money just hoping something would bite wasn't a real smart move on my part. The rain part of it is a downer too. May keep me indoors all day Saturday.

We actually have 43 boats and we really didn't know what to expect participation wise. I know they cancelled the Dalton Baseball tx last week but there were others going on as well. The CBA is next weekend. It's tough these days. We considered lowering the fee, but if you don't want to risk $150 then how much? If we went down to say $75 then the payout is way less. If we had done $75 would we have had 86 boats emoScratch?
I would have fished it for $100.00. I know that is not much but when you split the gas and entry that is getting up there. emoAngel You are talking about $200.00 bucks the way you have it now if you run very far at all. I would think that lowering the pay some would not have run off any that were already fishing it. Just my thoughts and what the heck do I know. emoGeezer Jmax
