Me and a buddy of mine went out Wednesday around 9:30 am. We put out at ladd landing and went up the Emory. The first area we pulled up on we caught 4 keepers and 5 the would not keep. Are best keeper that spot was 4 1/2 and smallest keeper would have about 3. Went up the river toward harriman and fished an area and caught about twenty bass and 10 of them would keep. Are biggest there was about 4 and are smallest was about 3. The fish where biting every where we went even though, we watched that cold front push in. I told my buddy that the bite will quit once this cold front passes, but the fish never turned off. All are fish came on a chatterbait, spinnerbait, and crankbait. Most come a crankbait. Are five best would have went around 17-18lbs.emoEnforce

Sounds like you need to get in that Legends tournament this weekend if you already havent. April 7th, Safelight to 3. $100 a boat and you can sign up that morning at the dam ramp or in the store.

I've mostly fished the mid section of the lake. I definitely have got to put in at Ladd more and discover the river section more. What type/color of crank were you throwing or did it matter? I'll be staying on the lake for a week starting the 14th. Family's coming down from Yankee-ville (Illinois, Indiana) and we're staying at Bayside so I'm doing a little recon. to try to help the old timers out. emoLaugh . Great report. I may try to hit the lake Sunday after reading your post.

We caught three smallmouth but none of them would keep in tournament. Are largest one was 14 in. and the other two were under 12 in. Most the fish came on a chartreuse/blue back and white chatterbaits.
