I went yesterday and caught a total of 19 with only two keepers. Trying to find a pattern for next CFF5 this next Saturday so forgive me if I don't give too many details. Yesterday both keepers were on C-Rig on humps. As hard as I fished I was not really very happy with the results.emoAngry

Today however was a different story. Lunched out of 58 Wolftever ramp this morning and saw another member putting in, he had his sticker on his boat. It was dark but the boat looked gold flake and tried to catch them before they left but it was too late. I started with the buzz, emoSmile I bet you could guess that. Right off had a nice one just shy of 15. Caught about 10 more over the next hour, with one keeper spot and a good LM about 4 lbs. Changed patterns and baits started hitting a bunch of bass. Two more fours and one five.emoWorthy Ended up catching about 35 and had one of my best days on the lake ever in two years. I think the best five would have gone around 20 to 22lbs.emoThumbsup I hope I just didn't pull a Davo and jinx myself for next week. My son is going to be my partner and I hope those fish are still in the area and can be caught. I put them all back and told them to hit again next saturday.emoBigsmile My thumbs have the ol' sand paper injury from today. I had some that looked spawned out and others about to pop. I think the spawn in some areas is still going on. I am really looking forward to the CFF5. Make sure to sign up if you haven't.emoCool Jmax

Sounds like a great day Jmax. Your post was surely a jinx and bad karma now awaits for next Saturday emoPoke .

I doubt it ... sounds like your on 'em! Think the cloud cover helped any today?

Wow, I am glad that I hid that GPS plotter on your boat the other day. Now I just have to download the charts to see exactly where you were. :) :)

Sounds like a great day.

Dang Bro! Your day sounds like daydreams I have while locked up in my office all week. You're on the same lake as me and I'm getting no respect from the bass while you're tearing it up. OY! Nothing like talent and experience, eh? Good luck next week, and dont worry about Davo's GPS. I snuck it outta your boat and into MINE. That outta fix him!

Jim, way to go. Did you fish the same areas as the day before? The bluebird skies may have been the problem, if I were you I would get out my maps and try to figure out where the fish would move if you get a bluebird day for the tournament 'cause I would expect that they would still be in the area but just moved deeper or to some other structure. Sounds like a great day, I hope that the fish will listen to you.

No Polo not the same area, I have been trying to move around and force myself to look at other places and keep track of the better ones and where the fish seem to be active. Than go to other similare places to see if it will work there. I fished four different places yesterday and one was a bust, one I had one keeper that was a 15 inch spot(Big spot), one I managed about 12 and the other was where I really got into them.

I do believe the overcast skies make a big difference and the best hour I had when I was ripping them was when it rained there for a little while. Just a sprinkled but darkened up and looked bad. The bass where I was really turned on. It is suppose to be some bad weather coming so I hope that doesn't screw me up. My track record says it will. The CFF3 at the G I had 14+ before the T with CCSM and 23.8 lbs after the tournament with tarhell but the day of the T I had only 5 something.emoBang Than at the CFF4 at the Nick had 14+ with CCSM the weekend before and the day of 11.31.emoBang I seem to be better at catching them when there is no pressure. My wife says I sike myself out and do it to myself. Can't sleep before and get all jumpy. With this type of track record you all more than likely do not need to worry about me.emoBigsmile MAybe my son will be my good luck charm and I will get on them in this one during the T.

I am starting a new post to know the pairing like I did for flip. That worked real good so please reply and let me kow who you are paired with. Thanks, emoCool Jmax

What a great report. Congratulations on a great day and thanks for the info. I'm quite sure it was my boat you saw on Sat. am before daylight (it's a gold metal flake Pro-Craft) with the CFF sticker. Buzz and I fished until about noon and caught 10 or 12 with only about 3 keepers, nothing the size that you caught. You'll be a hard man to beat at the CFF5.

Gator that I believe was the boat. Do you have the sticker on the drivers console on the side facing out??? I pulled up while you were backing in and my head lights hit your boat and I saw your sticker. I got one on my truck but not my boat. I parked right there in front of the ramp you may have saw me. Red truck with Ranger across the back window and a Bass sticker on one side with a CFF sticker on the other. Look forward to meeting you Saturday.;) Jmax
