This past week my wife and i made a trip back to Arlington Virginia for her H.S. reunion and wow what a great time we had. I met mey wife in Arlington Virginia in 1982 while stationed at Hq Marine Corp Henderson Hall. We went by my old base and it sure aint' the same. They have the Airforce Memorial situated over looking the Pentagon and just 50 yards from where my Old Marine Barracks were, right next to Arlington National Cemetary, i use to be able to look out my back window right at the back gate of the cemetary. I saw the plane crash into the Potomac River in 1982 from Dulles Airport, the wings had too much ice on them and it went down right into the river at the 14 st. bridge, me and 2 buddies stood in our back parking lot and watched the rescue attemp. We got close enough to see the tail section sticking out of the water, sad day that day. I have stood fire watch guard duty at the Pentagon back in 1982,83, & 84, went in the same entrance where the 911 plane crashed killing 183 people, they have a Memorial Bench erected for each victom that lights up at night, have to admit, it moved me quite a bit, especially knowing that plane that crashed there on 911 went right over where my old barracks were. Anyway, it was wonderful trip, got to meet her class mates from her 1980 graduating class, a vacation i will never forget. Now time to get back to fishing :) Have a blessed day CFF-Mo
