The silver buddies look a bit like a sonar lure, they are for jigging and feel like they make a buzz when you jig them up, they are good for sauger too.

Not only can they be used for vertical jigging:
1. long line/steep banks
2. Ripping through grass
3. ripping in open water
4. finding brush piles
5. finding brush piles
6. finding brush piles
7. You might say you can use them to find brush piles......

Carl..your right about finding brush piles! LOL...Sometimes when I know I'm near some and want to throw a crank or spinner bait, I'll locate it with a Silver Buddy. Sometimes it cost me, other times I manage to get it back. </p>

Silver Buddys are among my favorite to throw. Ask any of my backseaters...or Netters.

thats one of your friends that only night fishes and has not seen the sun in two yrs. has a silvery skin tone ( aka moon tan)
