Getting closer to spring I start getting pumped about some topwater action. I've used the zoom horny toads with some success but I was looking at some frog baits that will float when not retrieved that you could work slower and drag across grass mats. What kinds do you prefer? I was looking at the Spro frogs at BP but they're kinda pricey.emoScratch

I like the Zoom Horny Toads a lot. I also have a few of the Spro frogs. I have had luck with both especially when the grass starts coming up. I have to say that I have more luck with the horny toads. Anytime you can catch them on a frog or topwater is exciting.

Spro Bronzeye for floating and LFT for non-floating. If you can find them, Stanley makes a floating Ribbitt that is the best of both worlds.

Yum or ribbit, seem to be the most flexible as far as using in different situations, topwater or slightly wieghted, fish love both.

for plastic I like Case or Stanley, both work but they are kind of different actions
otherwise I like the spro bronzeye jr.

i have the best luck on the zoom horny toads but for grass mats i like the large size manns it has 3 hooks in it and throws a mile on braid line like stealth (80 lb) using a flipping stick. i have a few spo bronze eyes but have yet to get a bite on mine.
