"What happen to my "Our Great Leaders Post" ????

Chattanooga Fishing Forum

There were probably some complaints... When there is a complaint, a moderator has to take the thread off.

The same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago when I posted something I thought was funny...

Not sure I remember it, but if was a political post, the tendencies to get out of hand usualy doom those right away.

Kevin I remember yours, and although it was funny, I have no boubt it was deleted for being vulgar. Gotta keep it clean on here for the kiddos man.

Has anyone seen some of the other threads?! They are just as bad as mine and as soon as I post mine I get a complaint or two right away!!

Don't get me wrong because I like funny, I've just been irritated by this since the day it happened to me... And now I'm just letting y'all know how I feel.

It's not much of a big deal so I'm going to just drop it and go fishing!

Kev, dont worry about it man. If you see something you dont think should be on there, report it, otherwise just go fishin man! Lifes good.....

Nah, just kidding!

If it's a joke of any kind I'm not going to report it unless it's REALLY that bad...

I don't care if it's a little funny sex joke that someone posts about occasionanlly .(like I did)

David has asked many, many, many times that we not post subjects about politics or religious debate. It degrades the site, causes arguments and generally takes up the time of the moderators to keep it under control.

I didn't see it ya'll, sorry. I would hope that the mod that yanked it would would contact the author and explain the reason for pulling it personally.

It just showed some senators and presidential hopefuls vote not to make english the official language of the united states.

Ahhh ... then I'm guessing the reason for removing it is that DHaun put a moratorium on political posts a long time ago because they create so much flak.

Yes he did. The post was political but as BBass reported with a "snopes" link, it wasn't completely true. More of the type of thing to cause argument than anything, although I don't think that was what the poster intended at all.

It was a perfectly acceptable post. Very informative. I'm sure about 99% of the people on this site agreed with it.

Lance

I'm the 1% then, cause I never saw it! It wouldn't matter ... I'm not happy unless Jimmy Buffett announces he's running! emoLaugh

I always thought that the Bill of Rights protected the freedom of speech, but I suppose that even some governing bodies feel that they are above what the founding fathers fought and died to procure. I read the post and I had no problem with it whatsoever.

There's a not-so-fine line between being political and informative. For my side of things, that post was informative.

A certain subject shouldn't be dis-allowed from a forum.............the forums' members should have enough sense about them to keep things civil and adult. Sad that it apparently can't happen here.

Oh John, are you going to get yourself into another pickle here. I recon in a few days we will be accepting another apology

Things like that usually dont bother the folks that agree with it, but what about someone that dont?

Political and religious posts just stir up too much crap.
