I was heading over to Stewart County to my lease around 5:AM on Saturday morning when I ran into a parking lot on I-24. I was several miles past the
24/59 split but not up to Haletown yet. The traffic was completely stopped for about 2 hours. It finally moved about 1/2 a mile and stopped again. I saw
a cut across road in the median and took it and went back home.

Was there a big wreck or something up at Haletown?

An 18 wheeler and a car got together. It kept me from getting to the gunny hole for the morning bite. It was just before the nickajack bridge.

People just can't drive between Jasper and Chattanooga without having a wreck. I always take Hwy. 41 It takes a little longer but it is worth it. emoGeezer

I crossed over around 7:AM and headed back home. I figured 2 hours of sitting was enough. How long was the interstate closed?

I don't drive on the interstate any more to chattanooga, I just send my butler with a charge cardover to do my business, less hassel that way.
