What kind of depth finder would you buy?

I bought the Lowrance lms-334c last year and i like it a lot,but i must admit i really am partial to humminbird because of their simplicity. I have a 93 model humminbird wide one at the front of my boat for reading depth. My sons have my old boat with a 1988 model T C R 101 humminbird thats still as good as it was new.

I was told that Lowrance owns Eagle electronics and that if you took the cover off the front of both you couldn't tell them apart. I do know that Eagle is alot cheaper price wise. I'd go with whatever i easier for you to use without braking the bank. Good Fishing!!

This is strictly a personal recommendation. I have installed all brands of fish finders over the years but I AM BY FAR a diehard Lowrance fan (and yes Lowarance an Eagle are one an the same, although you will not see all the same models in both of the brands.) I have heard about a whole lot less complaints out of Lowrance/Eagle products compared to Humminbird and Garmin products. I have heard some complaints about the GPS units with the built in GPS antennas but this issue may have been resolved at this point.
Like I said for fish finders this is my personal preference you'll just have to take a toll and see what everybody else likes. As far as my own boat I'm kinda of old school**** I've got in-dash Lowrance flashers console/bow and I've also got a digital Lowrance X-15 GPS at the console. After fishing with a buddy of mine this weekend I will be a adding color graph to the bow of my boat as soon as I can (Lowrance of course). If I do this I'll have 4 depth finders **** MAYBE THIS WILL HELP ME CATCH MORE FISH **** HA HA.
