what kind of tach can I use on my 1978 35hp Johnson ? Im trying to adjust my timing and needle valve, but I need a tach according to repair manual > what kind do I need to accomplish this ?
I used a car one it seemed to work, until my engine quit, but not because that. You should have a gray wire, black wire, and a purple wire in the console.
