what rpm do i need to run

i have a 98 19 1/2 foot hydro sport and im running a evinrude 200 vindacator with a 4 bladed renegade prop ;how many rpms do i need to hold on and be safe ive been running and 5400

Usually atleast on my yamaha, Safe rpms in the manual are 5500

most of the time there is a tag on the mounting plate (where the motor mounts to the transum) that will have the same rpm stamped on it, mine is 5800

I used to run a 27-4 blade Renegade on my 225 Johnson Venom on the 20XD Bullet up to 6100 easy......dealer said you could turn 6300 for a mile or two at a time. Mine would go to 6300 but I didn`t run it there much. Never had any problems.

THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO,I WENT TO THE NET ALSO AND LOOKED UP RECOMENDATIONS FOR THE 200 EVINRUDE VINDACATOR AND EVERYTHING I CHECKED OUT RECOMENDS A MINIMUM OF 5000 RMPS AND A MAXIMUM OF 6000. GOOD DEAL I HAVE BEEN RUNNING MINE AROUND 5400
