I was kind of surprised to be asked by so many at the CFF tournament what I did with my $1,000 and if I knew what Colby did with his. emoBigsmile That was by far the question of the night to me. For those that might want to know here is what I did with mine. emoDance

Ask anyone that knows me all that well (say, beetlespin and wiskers) and they will say I am cheap. emoRolleyes I don't like to look at it as being cheap, I like to call it smart and frugal. emoEvil In my normal style of being cheap...ah...I mean frugal. As I had mentioned once before that the Sunday after the CBA was my better half's birthday. She is 39 and holding. emoBigsmile She is a lot like me so we had already decided that we were not going to buy a new Rainbow Vacuum for her birthday. We had been looking into a used rebuilt one that they say are as good as any of the new ones. A new one is about $2,500.00...yep...nuts... emoEek But a used one is $500.00. We now have a new to us rebuilt one that looks brand new.

Next I needed a new trolling motor. The one I had has been on that boat since it was made. Superbad has been trying to sell one that looked brand new and I checked it out. Yep...I now have that one. Gave him $350.00 for it and it looks brand new. emoThanks Superbad

Lastly I wanted a new to me depth finder. One of mine has been giving me problems. Alvin had a nice one for sell. I now have that one on my boat. It too looks and works like a new one. emoThumbsup $150.00... emoThanks Alvin.

There you go....$500 + $350 + $150 = $1,000.00 Gotta love this site, good people to deal with. emoUSA

As for my little buddy.. Colby...he was telling me he may sell off his rods and buy all new ones from Damon. He really likes the ones that Damon is sponsored by...Nuclear Rods. He has not done it yet but would not surprise me to see him do it. Right now he is sitting on his. emoSmile Damon and his Nuclear Rods is sponsoring the highest finishing youth team. He is giving one to each of the people on the team at the end of the year. Right now me and Colby are in a great position to end up in that position. emoWorthy No matter who wins them..... emoThanks Damon.

Id probably buy a new rod and reel some tackle then pay some bills.. Congrats again its a good problem to have!!

With the money you're winning- I'd hire a financial advisor! emoToast

Got one... emoBigsmile ...Stan Russell off of Brainerd Road. He is a pretty good one. emoThumbsup Jmax

First $200 will go towards supplies and molds for making hand poured plastic lures. The other $800 would be added to a savings account for a nice down payment on a van. emoThumbsup

We plan on buying a van next anyway. Even with out the fathom $1000.
Need more room for 2 growing kids and a bigger van means it can pull a bigger boat; which I'll try to purchase with my next tax return and selling my current boat. emoDance emoToast
