A Spring-area dad fatally shot a teen boy he found in his daughter’s bedroom early Thursday morning, deputies said.
The shooting happened inside a home on Bridgestone Ridge near Bridgestone Path.
Harris County Precinct 4 Deputy Constables were the first to respond after someone called 911 around 2:30 a.m. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the shooting.
Investigators said the father accused in the shooting woke up to find the male teen in his 16-year-old daughter’s bedroom.
According to detectives, his 16-year-old daughter let a 17-year-old boy in the house and snuck him into her bedroom.
Her younger brother went to say good night and saw two feet sticking out under the bed, detectives said. He then went to get his father.

The father walked in and asked questions, but his daughter claimed to not to know the male teen. The father then called 911, but an argument ensued with the teenage boy.
The father told police the boy dropped his hands as if to grab something, so the man opened fire. The teen died at the scene.

Far too many variables to determine a true "what if" scenario. The "he said, she said" situation is far too subjective to determine what really happened here. But from my initial instincts, a father walking in on a questionable situation usually leads to emotion-based decisions being made. Hard to pass judgement in any case.

Daughter is the P-Gate keeper.. The teen would not have been there by force.. daughter allowed him inside.. Should dad shoot the daughter who caused the kid to be in the house also? He took his blind rage all out on the boy.. He was 40% of this at best... Dad should be charged with Murder. PERIOD... You must control Rage and analyze the situation.

From what I read, the daughter said she did not know the boy. This is on her - dad reacted as if boy was an intruder in my opinion based on news story. Tragic situation shame on girl for lying - cost a person their life in all likelihood.

Charge him with murder. Girls and boys have been doing this since the beginning of time and he should have enough sense to know that. Obviously if the boy was in bed with the girl and she wasn't screaming, putting up a fight or trying to get away, there should have been questions on the part of the dad. A little distrust of what a girl caught in this situation would say would be a good thing to take into mind too. From what I have read, there was a back and forth between the girl who obviously wasn't screaming or trying to get away, the boy, and the dad. The dad was the adult and should have held the boy at gunpoint until the police got there. No need to take a life when a situation is under control, no matter how mad you are.

On a side note, this is one of those cases where you expect a lot of media attention. Not going to happen here. The reason? All the people involved were black and there was no white shooter. We won't be hearing from Jessie, Al or any of the usual folks. CNN and MSNBC will remain silent.

don't know all the details but I find a man women or 17 year old in my house I may open fire as well they are in my house with out my permission they are an intruder and will be treated as such it is sad that a kid was killed but he was in the house even though the girl let him in the man did not know that if he did know the 17 year old was let in then he should be tried for murder 1 but that is just my 2 cents

If you have teenagers and you come home and you see kids you do not know with your kids. Kill them... and if their Mom is there visiting your Wife, Kill her too. #Sarcasm

Unless the kid was about to hurt the guy you don't shoot him. You just can't do that. That father was once a teenager he should've been able to figure out exactly what was happening.

I had 3 teens I have never came home to strangers in my house and never found a boy in my daughters room after I have gone to bed or after dark and when people was visiting they ant under the bed with their feet sticking out if you got up at night and found a man / boy under your daughters bed what would you have done raise hell or put your arm around him and ask him to stay for breakfast I most likely would have tossed him out the window and let the dog go they was all wrong and a young man lost his life poor judgment all the way around I was told the boy attacked the man with a flash lite but don't know the facts like I said just my 2
