What's a trailer worth?

I'm just curious- I registered my boat trailer yesterday ('04 Triton), and the lady asked me what I thought it was worth. I told her I had no idea. Keep in mind the worth of the trailer has no bearing on what you pay to register it- they're all $12/ year.
She looked at the overall price I paid for the boat and trailer, and said $200-$300 for the trailer, although she said she knew this wasn't near what I'd sell it for.

depending on the length of the boat I would say no less than 3000$ and to replace it with a new one i'm thinking quite a bit more.

Boat is 17' 6". I was figuring $2500-$3000, but I wasn't going to tell her that!

3,000 is about what you would pay for a new decked out one. Ranger trailers are a bit more though. On average, 10 percent of the boat cost

Tennesee Trailer, built just as tough if not stronger in mat'l, would run alittle less.
