What is the little skag above the propeller called? You have the actual skag on bottom then the prop above that then the other little skag that can be ajusted. I lost mine when apperently it vibrated lose and caused me to spin the hub in my prop. I didn't notice it untill I got my prop back from Dan. Is this part real important?

That is called a trim Tab. you can order one or wrenchen most likely has one. That helps to keep the sterring from pulling left or right.

I think you may be talking about the sacrificial anode. Its made out of zinc to help attract corrosion from the motor. Also helps with the steering and tracking of the boat.

What engine??? It does 2 things. It is a sacrificial piece to protect the rest of the engine from electrolysis (corrosion). It also helps on steering of the boat to counter the effects of the prop rotating. On high perfomance applications where it is out of the water it will not do anything. Here is a example of where one would not be missed. We had to install a torque tamer below the prop on the skeg.</p>
