Wheeler - 10/22/06

Its been well over a month since I've had my boat in the water, from all the prefishing in Minner's Kenner for our catfish tourneys. So Burger and I hit Wheeler around Ditto Landing today to take advantage of all the current. We it was flowing alright and the wind was HOWLING from the north then shifting from the west. That means bad news on Wheeler. Before it got too rough we put a few bass in the boat, and this really nice spot, my biggest on Wheeler... no scales, I can just tell. All my fish were on 4 inch finesse worms, and Burgers on a bandit crank.

Then the trolling motor quit AGAIN... so we spent about an hour piddling and thinking... finally I think we got it remedied we'll see if it holds up.

Our club classic is Saturday, and the lake will be selected on Friday night... we are thinking it will be Wilson or Guntersville... either way it will be CHILLY!

What is the burger doing in the back of the picture???? Looks as if he is up-chucking (puking for those of you that don't understand) Just thought it strange the position he is in..... pretty fish though.....emoPoke
