Wheeler Lake - Bass - 5/29/06

Started pre-fishing for a tournament I have this Saturday. Day started off well with a 2 lb 7 ozer in a ditch about 10 feet deep, surrounded by 5 foot water. Fished those same series of ditches for the next two hours, with Carolina Rigged Yamamoto Fat Skirts. I must of missed 3-5 fish... i have to say my carolina riggin' is very rusty. We moved on to some main lake points but the lack of current killed that bite. Moved onto an island in the mouth of one of our Creeks, and took two solid keepers off an island point with that same Carolina Rig. All fish were caught in 10-12 feet of water. I imagine the bite would of been alot better if current was flowing. Boat traffic started getting really heavy so we were off the water by 10:00 a.m.
