There was a 7 lb 6 oz Spaaaaaat caught on Wheeler this weekend... I'm supposed to be getting the pics to post on BFHP... hopefully I will post them soon.  Man, what a fish.... we grow 'em big in Alabama!</p>

8 lbs 10 ozs I believe... caught on Smith Lake, used to be a world record.

World record is now 9lbs ?oz somewhere in California.

I'm GLAD that Wheeler isn't in Tennessee! I wanna break the record some day and if they caught a 7lber spat here it would be even more tough to break the record!

Holy cow what a pig. Those spots are prolific eaters and that pig was the king of the table. Wonder what he did with fish.

Its at the district one fisheries biologist office.  They are certifying it as a state record, doing research on it, and giving him a mount.
