I've been trying to find a couple of big cats for this weekend's Oct 6 Southern Catfishermans Association (SCA) Classic Tournament. Thought I might have a spot or two....then the mud flats started showing.

Any speculation on the effect the winter drawdown on Wheeler (about 2') has on the location and behavior of mighty big catfish???

Steve,

I don't know that it moves them all that much. Last year Allen and I caught fish in the same area from July to Jan. We were fishing Wilson mostly this time last year. We whacked 'em good, except during the big tourneys. Good luck, and let us know how you are faring. We are trying to find some time to get out there.

I'm not sure about the effects of the draw down, but from the results of the past few weeks, the fish sure haven't been where I though they should have been on Lower Wheeler. Maybe they are at Brown's Ferry already ;) hehehe

I think they all locked through to the Chick..

Well, when y'all fill your live wells up......you can rent space in mine. (Is that against the rules??) I'm sportin' TWO Pro Air units, no less.
