My dad is turning the big FIVE-O this coming week, so my sister and I decided to go all out and rent a 3 bedroom condo at Bay Hill Marina on Wheeler Lake this weekend.

Of course, I partially selected the location for selfish reasons (FISHING), but it ended up being a great weekend. As much as my sister grew up around fishing, she had never been before. So I woke her, my brother, and dad up at 5:45 to hit the lake before the gnats (jet skiers) came out. We decided to find some bream, and luckily we did. We probably boated around 25 in an hour or so. My brother has recently graduated from college, and I set him up with a brand new Shimano Cruxis and a custom made Fat Albert's 6'6" Baitcasting rod, with Tennessee Orange wrappings. He was in search of bass and we ended up putting some decent bass in the boat. We caught all fish on DJW Spinnerbaits, and 4" Finesse Worms... one of which was my brothers first smallmouth (although a little dude, still fun).

Minner was down at our Nuke, where he saw Slo-Ride putting some nice cats in the boat. He came down river and we put in an hour of catfishing. Allen put a 8.5 lb Blue cat in the boat, and then it was time for him to go home to see Mama.

Bream were caught off of beds on redworms in about 3 feet of water... enjoy this pics! Also I'll attached a video of my sisters first fish, and her setting the hook into my finger! I also gave her a little surprise at the end of the video

What a great weekend!
