Where is the Nick report from the Tx on Sat 12/23/2006 ???????

I know a couple of our guys went to the Nick to fish a Tx yesterday and I have not seen a report? Did I miss it? I was making light of guys that were going to a Tx on Christmas weekend and would liked to have gone but didn't have the nerve to ask the better half. I like sleeping in my house better than the dog house so I passed.emoLaugh How did it turn out, does anyone know?emoScratch Jmax

MY BEST NEWS WAS THAT I MET 2JIGS. WE CAUGHT 8 SHORT LM NOT A KEEPER IN THE BOAT. emoBang I THINK 2JIGS HAD TWO GOOD KEEPERS. I'M SURE HE'LL POST HIS REPORT. WE FISHED FINESSE WORMS AND JERK BAIT WITH NO SUCCESS. THE FISH WE DID CATCH CAME OFF ROCK BANKS 5-10' OF WATER. TEMP WAS 50-53 DEG. I'M SAVING MY FISH FOR THE NEW YEARS DAY TX!LOL I THINK IT TOOK 12 LBS TO WIN WITH 4 LB BIG FISH NOT A WHOLE LOT OF FISH CAUGHT. OUT OF TEN BOATS ONLY 3-4 MAYBE WEIGHED FISH RANDY PORTER (BULLETANGLER)AND DAVID BROCKMAN TOOK HOME THE CHEESE! I'LL HARASS MR. PORTER FOR A REPORT. I THINK HIS FORMER PARTNER TARHEEL MAY HAVE MORE INFLUENCE THAN ME THOUGH. SORRY NO PICTURES WERE TAKEN. GOOD TO HAVE MET YOU 2 JIGS NICE FISH TOO. AND ALSO JMAX I WOKE UP SUNDAY MORNING STILL MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!emoPoke TOLD YOU IT WOULD WORK!

Well I new it was going to be tough, when I called the TVA water release schedule & they were running one turbine out of Chick. But none out of Nick. In hindsight, we should have ran up river, more current. David said they did & they won so go figure. We threw hair jigs & jerkbaits in 3-10 ft. of water, over dead grass. We had two our fish by 8:45am. 3 cast later & I had THE FISH on & yelled at my partner to get the dip net, the fish was way out. Around 50-60 ft. away, when it hit so it was a long fight. It was a 6-7lber, catfish that is. My heart beat didn't go back down for 10 min. We worked the area well but nota. I guess the catfish ran them all out. Then the fog lifted & the bass cut off like a switch. We had 5.76lbs. with 2 fish. I'll be honest & say we weren't saving our fish for the New Years day Tourny. LOLemoLaugh We don't have that many fish to start with. I'll have to say that if a man has fish that he thinks will hit & can fish & not bring them to the weigh in's, he's got more discipline than I doemoWorthy. Jmax the New Years Day tourny. is shaping up to have a good turn out. If the wife lets out a little slack in your leash, ya might want to get down to this oneemoUpsmile emoThumbsup It took 12.43Lbs to win & big fish was 4.42Lbs.
