Where to Stay for Watts Bar Dam Fishing?

Come on over to Athens on 305. There's almost any kind of motel you want here. It's only about 5-10 minutes farther to drive and you have a wider choice at either of two interstate exchanges according to your budget. Sweetwater has three or four, but I don't have any knowledge to make a recommendation from. There are about three at the I-75/68 interchange and another about a mile further on 68 just to the left at the crossing of Hwy. 11. Good fishing.

Thank you for the helpful replies. From the sound of things, there will be quite a few choices in accomodations. I'm hoping to find something in the $40-$60 range per night.

Best wishes,

I had to pick up my camper yesterday where my brother had it for a job at Watts Bar.

Crossing Watts bar from the 27 side, take the 3rd road on the right...go a few miles to a BP and turn left. maybe a 1-2 miles on your right is a Camp Ground (Cherokee Campground, maybe?) She has some cottages there. Really nice.

Could call Robert or Jim at Arrowhead Resort too!

Rhea Harbor Marina has some cabins there in Springcity inside Piney Creek. It is just up from the dam on the west side of the river they are good people. The number is 423-365-6851.

I met the owner of SAMS BOAT DOCK in Ten Mile Tn. He seems like a good guy with a nice place but I've not stayed there yet. Their # is 423-334-5620 and his name is George Tuell.
