For those of you who don't know it our very own Rangr Rob was an outfitter and Kayack instructor. Who better to ask who to use on the Ocoee. I called RR and he told me to use Cascade Outdoors, great call.emoThumbsup Me, the wife, my son and one of his friends went there today and we had some kind of fun.emoTongue I think our guide figured out real quickly that we were the adventurous type and he tried to put us into the worst places he could. Ryan got thrown out once and so did his buddy on another fall. We stoud the rafe straight up on one spot and I think the quide himself was surprised on that one. He told us later it was not his intention to do that, lucky we did not flip. emoEek There was a bunch of others there but we only had the four of us in our raft where the rest of them had six to eight. I think most of the quides tried to avoid the real bad stuff where the boys wanted to go right threw the worst stuff. We kept the other rafts intertained. The boys also road the bull, which is getting on the front of the raft with your feet hanging over the front on several of the bad places. They had a blast and are still talking about it. We may have to go back and do the whole day trip.emoApplause Todays was only for three hours.

I know a lot of folks on here have asked about doing things for a family adventure and this one I would highly recommend. Only problem is kids under 12 are not allowed to go due to the dangers that are involved. Our quide's name was Brison if you want to go, ask for him.emoDance Jmax

Seriously though..we did it years ago and loved it! I should plan another day soon now that the kids are able. Thanks for sharing the info Jim. Sounds like you had a ball!</p>

Years a go we used to go to Reliance and rent an inner tube and the fellow at the store would take us a mile or so upstream and drop us off. Get in the tube and float the river, quite a few falls and such but was a ton of fun, beware of the cold water, you will be blue when you get back to the store, in June you will have to run the car heater wide open all the way back home. Wear sneakers and cut off jeans.

since jmax mentioned riding the bull, i had to post a picture of me riding the bull a couple of years ago. i think that was the most fun i had had in a long time. our guide figured out we didnt mind getting flipped out, but it got ridiculous after a while, very very very difficult to get back in after you've been trashed on basically every rapid going down the river! we would head towards the rapids at the 'correct' angle and it always seemed like we ended up sideways when we got to the rapids...how convienent!!!!!!!!!!! enjoy...... carl
