Launched at river park last Sunday and today (Saturday) mid afternoon. Last week was pretty damn cold. Water temps were around 43 both days. 2/14 Fished from chatt state down a little below launch on both sides. Not a bite. Tried cranks, jigs, Shakey heads. Fished bank and normal depth where they usually are 16-20 ft. Went down river to my normal spot and same story. Maybe I’m just rusty on my technique or the fierce current has me off but I graphed them in the normal areas(right on the channel edge) and couldn’t get the bite. Today ran up to RR bridge thinking warmer water (maybe a degree difference) and floated down throwing swim baits, cranks, jigs and fitness. Got a few ticks on a deep crank but still nothing. Kind of disappointing. I feel like I get locked in really well on them in the summer but I couldn’t buy a fish this time of year if I wanted too. Maybe I should try live bait? Anyhow, it still beats doing honey doo’s. PS for some reason the forum keeps showing adds on single women in their 40’s. I’m neither single or in my 40’s..... just saying.
