I am planning to go to the nuke plant boils tomorrow. If you are a CFF member and see me in a white Proline Bay, hollar at me(In a nice way). Hope to see you there.emoFish
Liveliner, I was going to go tomorrow and I got the weinnies for bait that you suggested, but I ate them already (usually I wind up eat them in the boat) so I'll only have skipjack or worms - I've got to be really hungry to eat THAT bait!emoTongue emoTongue emoEek
I plan to be out there in the morning in a Brown G3 1860 Yamaha 90. Troll on by and say howdy! If the cats are slow I may also do a little shellcracker scouting.
my father in law and I got the garage door up and I am not meeting my group for a project at school until 3 or so. So I think we will be out there for a few hours anyway.
Uh-oh, sound like another one of those days out there where everybody's got to be real friendly! As long as we'll be able to step from boat to boat, why doesn't somebody bring lunch and we'll have a picnic!emoLaugh Foodsaver, you have a pontoon, right?emoToast
glockjr and i will be out there tomorrow as well prob start off bass fishing and if that doesnt go well we will be at the boils look for an ugly faded black/silver/red shadow with what looks like a refridgerator hanging off the back of it emoTongue
I'll be down that way sometime tomorrow too, wife wants to go out in the boat !?! emoScratch emoConfused emoDoh I aint sure what to think she never wants to go .. gonna try and hook her and my 5 yr old up with some big cats.. I think she would be hooked on fishin if she battled a big ol blue emoBigsmile
I'll be in blue metal flake astroglass w/150 erude most regulars on here know me to see me .. hollar if ya see me too
EricM - Bring Lunch for a picnic??? You got those nasty weiners don't you or did you eat them. That is the reason I suggest those cheap red ones, so you will not be tempted to eat up all your bait. Eric you have got me wondering about you now my friend.emoLaugh
It sounds like a party at the power plant. If I get some free time I might head up there and watch you guys tear them up. It looks like it's still going to be low flow for the next few days. Let's hope that we get a good raiin soon and fill this booger up. Is 8000CFS high enough to get the big cats hungry?
what a day! emoTongue seems like everyone out at the nuke was a cff member emoGrouphug . first time i was able
to put the shadow in the water emoParty. jr and i hung out at the boils with liveliner dhaun and ericm, and thanks
to eric for cast netting some shad that were ALL OVER the place emoWorthy . jr got the first cat in the boat
thanks to that shad , a nice 5lb channel cat emoFish. took a ride up river to get a better feel for the boat emoBigsmile
boy it run good. got it up to about 60 on the gps and i think thats about as fast as i want to go on the water.
came back down to the intake and ran into foodsaver , fished there a bit with no luck.
then trouble emoAngry a bracket for the gear shift came off and it wouldnt go into gear and that thing was up under the motor
in a spot i ALMOST couldnt get my big hand into emoHoppingmad took me 45min but i got the bolts started enough
to limp it over to camp colombus to use my dads tools to fix it right. emoDance but by then we were almost out of time.
ran into one more spot where jr boated a chunky female LM spewing eggs and quickly got her back in the water .
so jr has the first bass in the boat too emoDoh
time to go home then emoBang but we did did run into 2jigs putting in while we were taking out.
even though the bite was slow and the boat gave me a fit it was great talking to everyone today
hope to do it again real soon
Glad everybody had a good safe time on the water today. It sure was about as perfect a day as you could ask for. Hopefully the cats will cooperate better tomorrow. I will give it a try but have crappie/bluegill gear on board too. Thanks for the reports guys.
