Who will win the H&J Heating and Air open Aug. CBA night tournament?

It is hard to believe that the August night CBA is here this coming Saturday night. Only three more open CBAs to go for 2015. Wanted to send out a thank you to Chuck and Galen James for their continued support of the fishing community. emoThumbsup Without folks like them we could not have the kind of tournaments we enjoy in our area. Last year this same tournament was dominated by two teams. Both teams kicked some butt and showed us all that quality fish could be caught on the Chick in August. When the smoke from the battle cleared Buddy Gross and Greg Lamb won it with a killer sack of five bass going 30.98 lbs. emoEek Right behind them however was the team of Bruce Day and Scott Gilley with 29.50 lbs. emoWorthy

I know that Carter Day (Bruce's son) just won the Friday night dog fight out of HBSP with three going about 18.50 lbs so it sounds like they are on them again. They are my picks for this one. However I talked with Carter this weekend and he is talking about skipping this one since they had a good showing in the Aug. Day event. emoScratch We shall see if he was sand baggen or really serious. If they fish it I will go with them as my pick with 30 lbs. emoSmile Last year it took 21.68 lbs to get a check on this one. Should be another good one. emoTongue Jmax

Yep, I am right there with you Tim. It would be just like Carter to tell me he and Scotty were not fishing it and then show up. emoPoke I have caught Carter before telling me sand baggen statements. emoBigsmile I'm not saying I don't believe him, just saying I will believe him 100% when they don't show up Saturday night. emoLaugh Jmax

They showed up just like I thought they would. emoBigsmile I just sent him a text and he said they had 20 pounds with a 7 to anchor their sack. Had two hours to upgrade. They said it was slow and a grind. I may go watch the weigh in and see how it all turns out. emoThumbsup Jmax
