Has anyone on here purchased a pair of these? I have been looking at them since I have to have presciption glasses. I have a pair of Ray Bans now but looking at buying a pair just for fishing.

I got a pair of Oakly Straight Jackets from an Ebay store for 130 bucks and free shipping. They are the shiznit!!

Hey corey, how much are they? I notice ABU Garcia has a promotion on some reels where you get a free pair.

If you are going to save your eyes and buy quality sunglasses go Costa. Oakleys, Mauis, Ray Bans and some others are good but Costa Del Mar is the only one with a lifetime warranty and they are definitely quality. JMHO

I love Costa's lenses, but hate the frames. they just seem cheap. I have a pair of Oakleys that I have had since I was 16 ( literally half my life) and besides a few scratches they are still fine. So when I found out that Oakley made fishing sun glasses, I took a shot, and I love them. I have the straight jackets with the shallow blue lenses. May buy another pair with the deep blue also. Good to have an extra pair.

I actually purchased a nicer pair of Solar Bat that cost around $50. I have been very happy with them so far.

I guess I can let you know. My wife bought me a Revo STX for Valentines, so I will be getting the free glasses...

Oakleys are for looks, not fishing. Costa's are fishing glasses. U can get the tropic stars with interchangeable lenses for $76 to your door on ebay. They seem to have fixed the crappy frame problem.

I like the fact that the Wileys are Z87 safety glass quality and some have a detachable seal to your face to keep the air out while running. Still debating though...alot of bucks !!

Do your homework....Oakly has an outdoor line now. Ask Vandam he uses them.

I know what Oakley has *******. I had a pair. Their lenses aren't as good as costa's. Mine actually made me dizzy when there were ripples on the surface.

I love my Costa del Mar Fathoms. Don't listen to Fishnvol, he doesn't have a clue......besides he doesn't even need fishing glasses, what he does can't be considered fishing.

Wiley X's are fine glasses. Can't remember if the one's I were issued by the army were polarized or not. However, they work great for riding either on a motorcycle or a boat. You can get prescription inserts for them, so that is a plus. I had they regular goggle type sunglasses and the SF version while gunning atop a turret on a Hummvee while in Iraq. Both were good, sturdy glasses that took a whole lot of punishment.
