Fished the river yesterday and caught around 25-30 bass one of which was a LM 3lbs and the rest were spots. All but one spot would not measure 12 inches. Lot of water movement and caought all fish on a flipping tube. I was piching down in the rocks and thump, a big hit. I set the hook and on the other end was the meanest flathead you ever saw, about 15 lbs. Man they are fun to catch but they really can clamp down on the hand when you try to take the hook out.

Hey fella,

Glad you had a good day on the "river." I'll need to find out where Williams Island is. I'm not from here and I am not familiar with Wms Island. I didn't know that Chickamauga was that heavily populated with spots, probably should pay more attention.

you will find alot of spots around the barge tie offs near down town. Man they are fun to catch. They are not real big but they hit hard.

Williams Island is not on the Chickamauga. It is on Nickajack down river from Chattanooga. Go around the Bend and watch for some barge docking on the right side going downstream. In that area and at the creek opening to Baylor Lake is "Spot City". Williams Island is just below that area.
