Im pretty sure the indians own it and a cattle farmer leases it. If your wondering about the pond, forget about it. I know a guy that took his freinds out there to hunt 2 weeks ago even after i told them it was private property. Sure nuff they got ran off.

I saw about 120 turkeys come off the roost from racoon mtn. and fly across the river onto the island. I heard the first gobble this morning while waiting to see if i could spot one lousy duck.It reminded me its time to hang up the waders and get out the turky calls.

Its owned by the state and i belive is managed by the Tennessee River Gorge Trust.

Do the cattle farmers have a lease? possibly?I have heard of river gorge, they have alot of land between signal and suck creek mtns.

From what I was told last year in an attempt to hunt there, it is owned by the Gorge Trust. And the farmers lease it and manage the property for them. They allow camping on one campsite on the main river chanel side by permit from the trust. But no weapons of any kind.

well, i recon' that bout' sums it up right there! Thanks alot, u could have saved me a little trouble this spring.
