They say you should cast into the wind and/or current. If the wind is blowing against the current so much that The boat actual drifts up stream, should I cast with the wind up stream or cast against the wind and reel the bait upstream.

I had a conversation with Mark Menendez about this and he feels the river current takes preference over the wind current. I usually follow that line of thought.

I've always been told that a stiff wind will give fish a false sense of current. I can't say that I have seen that proved or not.

I typically cast across the current/wind because I am not sure. Casting upstream a mile with the wind at my back feels good but doesn't seem right but neither does casting down stream and reeling against the current.

usually always go with the river current over the wind current if they are pulling water. That is always stronger blow the surface than the wind affect current.

Which way do you catch more fish juggo? Honestly if it's a Big fish spot id try to circle the spot and hit it from every direction. When the fish are biting good it don't matter they hit that bait no matter what. But since fishing is so tuff I've been trying a lot more angles. The shad is finally going shallow and to the banks and the bass are definitely chasing them. Fishing is just going to keep getting better!
