Why doesnt someone run a monthly winter tournament trail that rotates between nickajack, chickamauga ,and guntersville for a good payout with a $50 or $75 dollar entry fee?Is it that they are afraid of cancellations or a lackluster draw?
DD22FISH organizes a Saturday 8-1 TX starting this year on Nov 24. His format for last several years has been some rotations between all the lakes you mentioned.
I actually have been approached by several people that asked me to run 3 open tournaments(dec, jan, feb) with a good payout of $1000 first place but I would be afraid that it wouldnt draw well enough .I was also asked to run the TENN/COOSA from Oct-March and have a monster championship with huge weights in April.
You guys are getting me interested as well but the deer hunting is also calling my name. Man....life is sure hard, deer hunting or fishing....gosh, tough decisions having to be made here. Jmax
I would be satisfied with a little ol dog fight on Sat, on the Nick.....
Dont want to be a thread stealer, but you typically hear "there isnt enough interest" but yet the boat ramps stay full all winter except on the worst 'weather' days??!! So whats the deal guys???emoScratch
I know Garry has a good turnout about all winter long over at Chesterfrost. And it's just good to know there's a few guys out there as nuts as yourself willing to fish when it's 25-40 deg. outside.
