my question is .I am getting ready to winterize the bee.should i charge all 4 batteries .disconnect leave in boat.OR remove all batteries and store in garage? the baot is coverd but my concern is will they freeze if i leave them in boat?emoScratch emoCool

To make them last longer store them inside. If its nesseary to leave them in the boat from lack of space them by all means hook a floating trickle charger up to them. Even inside I keep mine charged up about every thirty days,

Sorry about hijacking your thread Breeze, couldn't help myself. My apolgies to everyone.</p>

If you bring them inside then don't store them directly on a concrete floor. I've heard that it is not good for the lifespan. Put a couple of 2x4's or something under them and a trickle charger is a really good idea too.

The crappie, bluegill, spots and smallmouth will bite all winter and the big blues will do good up into early Jan. Might as well go ahead and use it this winter.emoThumbsup

Breeze - 11/27/2007 7:46 AM guys if i wanted to use it this winter i would not have ask about winterizing.HELLOOOOOO"</p>

To answer your original question Breeze, your batteries will not freeze if left outside. They will deteriorate if they are not on a maintenance charger whether they are in or out of your boat.
