hello everybody I have a 1993 stratos that has spliced wires, shorts and in general a debacle. the boat is in good shape new batteries trolling motor works great. I just need more reliability on the water out of the electrical system. Any tips on where to start when it comes to rewiring this thing. I also would like to add an onboard charger since i am doing all this other stuff too. Also the tach speedo and fuel guages do not register. ANY tips would be appreciated, thanks

Really don't know what kind of tips to tell you. I would start by removing any additonal wiring that is unused and use adheasive lined heat shrink to water proof your repairs. Speedo is a mechanical gauge and may not be hooked up at the engine or the hole is stopped up on the lower. Hope this helps!

If I was in your position, I would start from scratch with an electrical diagram and rewire the thing.
