hey guys i know a 223 is very small but i have been wanting to use my coyote gun for deer will not be shooting past 100 yards what round do you guys suggest i use thanks in advance the gun is a standard AR-15

Your bullet weight should be dictated by the rate of twist of your barrel. The faster the twist, the heavier the bullet.
 
I have shot thousands and thousands of 5.56 in the military back home and I prefer something atleast 75 grains. That doesn't matter if it's a m16, ar15 or a m4 style rifle. I went through all three with the military seeing all three transition in and out. Just MHO... everyone on earth is going to have a different opinion though. The only thing I think we all agree on is that 300 blackout is the worst thing ever lol
