The story of Jackie Robinson is historic (as a matter of fact my Grandaughter said they were taught about yesterday in history) And the movie (42) is great.
But, with the cost of going to a MLB game the way it is-I just wonder what it must have cost to have every player get a one time jersey, or numbers resewn (which I doubt)?
I do respect what 42 went through and the doors he opened, but wouldn't an arm band sufficed?

These teams always have spare jerseys laying around. I bet its not that hard. People change teams and numbers change all the time. If I played in the the MLB i would LOVE to wear that 42 jersey and represent it the right way. Then frame it up and have a memory of a lifetime. But I do agree the price of baseball games is outrageous. Add a hotdog and beer for $15 and im broke. But a 42 patch on the sleeve wouldnt be bad either, but im sure they wouldnt take the patch off. They would probably still let players keep it.

After I sat down to the game I realized they were iron-on numbers. I would take one myself-maybe trade it for my MCann Braves shirt! emoHoppingmad

Every MLB team retired #42 in honor of Jackie Robinson. You may be able to buy one at a sports store but no MLB Player will be wearing it on the field.

Yeah the only time they will be wearing the number 42 will be they are giving respect to him such as his birthday and what not.
