Ok I will try to do this story justice. As most of you know Ive been doing ALOT of catfishing lately. I have the best wife a man could ever ask for who understands how much I love to fish and lately I had kinda been neglecting to take HER fishing..... So after work today we headed out down to Harrison bay. Went to harrison bluffs first and struck out there. I also had my little 5 year old girl with us so we really wasnt expecting to catch much..just wanted to get out there in the beautiful weather and have a day with the family doing what I love. Anyway after zeroing at the bluffs I went up to the nuke plant and put 6 baits in the water ( all skipjacks) We sat there about 30 minutes and i saw a very slight hit on the front rod. Probably 5 more minutes went by and I saw the tip of the rod bend down just a little and I knew we had him. I picked up the rod and it immediatly took off..ZZZZIIIIIIING went the drag. My wife said Hey buddy you better had it over.emoSmile So I said YES DEAR...And let her have it.emoSmile She fought it for about 20 minutes very hard ( like a PRO ) Note the position of the rod in the pic. She kept the pressure on and we finally got it to the top and in the net. Took both of us to hoist it in the boat. I recently bought a digital bathroom scale just for weighing these beasts. I weigh myself first and then me with the fish and subtract the difference. By myself I was 194 and with the fish...270 lbs!!!! It was AWESOME!!!! This has been my best year fishing EVER!!!!
