Well, after 3 1/2 weeks of pain and no fun, 3 ER visits and tons of drugs, I finally had surgery today to get rid of my dang kidney stone. If you've never had one, I hope you never do. My Dr. said that the pain is about the same as someone grabbing your family jewels as hard as they can while twisting and pulling emoBang . Of course now I have a lovely stent and a couple threads hanging out of me, but at least I know they will be gone in 5 days. Now maybe I can think about fishing again.

MY wife thinks ever man should have one because its like having a baby. I told her i worked hard on making that baby. HEHE

Thanks guys. I passed one several years ago with some serious pain, but this one just latched on and wouldn't budge. They had to go in and cage it today, a highly unrecommended procedure (well, by me anyway). They totally knock you out and run a cath up you, fun, then put in a stent so that your tubes don't swell shut (less fun) and leave a couple of strings hanging out of you. Now it just feels like I'm peeing razor blades instead of having pain in my back...........and yes, fishing with Chris does cause all sorts of ailments. I'll probably need to start seeing a therapist as that boy drains the every loving life out of you. I blame him for me losing 2 rigs and breaking another one this year alone. Plus, we never finish in the money, wth.emoPoke

OH NO ! I too had lithotripsy done a few times as well. Thank God for that procedure although you still have to pass the sand & clinkers.

Dr. opened a large drawer to show me the "tools" that you described !!!! 4 feet long and gleaming steel !!!
When I looked back him ( As I imagined for a second ) he was laughing maniacally and had those HELL-RAISER pins all in his head !
