Well went to the Wolf, Saturday to try and pick up some Crappie. The morning started off ruff fished for about 2 hours without a single bite. We were fishing docks and any other cover we could find in about 10 to 12 feet of water. The bite just wasn't happening, so I decided to move into some deeper water and went to the channel. The water was 20 to 25 foot deep with fishing holding at around 15'. We started picking up a few there on minnows and Salt and Pepper jigs. I think we finished the day there with 32 caught and only 12 of those were keepers.
Today we decided to go and try Nick-a-Jack. That was a mistake water was down 4 to 5 feet and the fish just would not hit at all. Not one single crappie boated. We did catch several bream and a few small bass 13 inches or so.
Oh well I'll next weekend. Cept this time I'm a Bassin.
