We headed back to flip some docks and try some top water. For our top water lures he tried a buzz bait( one hit all day) and a pop-R,I used a zara puppy(blue shad color). Cuttthroat caught a few nice bass on his pop-R(and two little bluegill ;) ) on my zara puppy I caught 2 decent bass (about 14-16 inches) the odd thing was I caught them at the same time. Yep caught 2 nice bass at once(that's just how I do it)emoLaugh . We started flipping jigs(3/8oz blue and black for me) and he threw the same size but a few of his cutom colrs. I really got hot for about 15 minutes or so with the jig,it seemed almost every cast I would at least hook one. It slowed for us after awhile so we moved a few times and ended up flipping some more docks across from the Wolftever marina. I hooked one and he landed 2 more one of them being the biggest fish of the day. We didn't weigh it but we figured between 2.5 and 3lbs. Of course he was using his own product when catching the bass.emoLaugh . Anyway I think we landed between 12 and 15 bass and only one of them was a real dink. The rest went between 14 and 16 inches. Was a very fun morning, and I really enjoyed riding in his fancy boat!!

Sounds like you guys had a great time. Roba22 and I were out there too today but not in the creek. Maybe I need to fish closer to home(WT) more some days.

RE: Wolftever bassin with cutthroat..

Good report. The wolf is impossible to fish after 10 or 11 on the weekend and during the summer.

I CANT BELIEVE SOME PEOPLE SKI IN THE BACK WHERE ITS NARROW.emoScratch

RE: Wolftever bassin with cutthroat..

It's nuts there on the weekends! Where I live there are three lines of boat traffic that converge and near misses are very common. I haven't ever seen anyone hit before but I cringe whenever I see someone go down skiing, wake boarding or falling off a tube at that junction. Sometimes people must be "under the influence" when they are out there. Some day it will come back to haunt them I would expect.

THE TRICK IS TO HIT THE NARROW AREAS YOU WANT TO FISH FIRST BEFORE THE BOATS GET CRANKED UP!

I vote we have a CFF Wolftever T and fill the whole freakin' creek with bass boats on a busy Sat morning. We'd be out there before the pleasure boats and by the time they got out there, there wouldn't be anywhere for them to run their 400 yard ovals in a confined area ... boneheads. emoEvil
