Does any one remember when the creek froze over? My dad and I belonged to the Wolftever Fishing Club from the early 70"s to about 1999. A friend of mine took a picture when it was frozen over from the Club boat ramp to Rabbit Island. We tried to break through the ice with large rocks. They never went through. The ice was making weird sounds. I believe it was late 80's or early 90's might have been earlier. Can't find picture would love to post it. Just wondering if any one remembered. emoGeezer

Guess who? Hint: 1987 (Wolftever Creek)

Actually 2 or three years ago it froze over partially, not all the way though.

Yea, I was gonna say that too. It was two years ago I was going to try back in that area and hit ice all the way across where the two points come together going back into that area. It was frozen as far as I could see back there. You could see where a boat had tried to break through but backed out. Either that or they hauled butt up on it before they realized it was froze over. With a fiberglass boat I did not even try. emoTskTsk Jmax

Lol, that was probably us. We hit it thinking it would break though and the front of the boat just went up on the ice so we gave up.

I've seen Booker T frozen from the back of the flat all the way up between the two points coming in. Fished on the edge of the ice and caught a few believe it or not
