Met Baitbucket yesterday morning 7am at wolftever dock. We went out to a couple of main channel humps and tried to fish the 15 foot range. I was throwing an ol' monster and him a tube. He caught a decent (for bait bucket) large mouth right off the bat on a tube so I thought we may have a good day. Well, not so fast. We fished several humps and caught 1 fish in each spot. Bait bucket caught one fish that I will have to post the picture of tonight that looked like a drum but was silver in color. We traveled back toward Wolftever and I caught one keeper on the rip-rap there at the bridge. After reading others reports I dont feel too bad.

On my way home I stopped bye Fish n' Fun and talked to a guy for a bit. He belives that the fish are moving up a bit to the 8 foot area. I tend to believe him because not only were we not catching the fish but realy didnt see any bait fish being slammed.

But man what a beautiful morning to be on the lake. Water was glass. And for the bass tracker that is a good thing.

I dont think we were fishing it the way you do! We kept our shirts on.

OHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Burn.

By the way, Ill go catfishing any time your sorry kid will envite me. Ill even bring the booze

I'll tell you, when you grow up and get a chest on you, you'll be abel to take your shirt off too.
Let me know when you want to go catfishing and baitbucket and me will drag you along with us. Glad to have you. You are welcome to go with us tonight if you would like.

Thank you for the offer! Without throwing out a ton of BS excuses Ill have to respectfully deny for tonight but would be interested in getting out there soon. Ive never been catfishing and would love to give it a shot.

Thanks for taking me out yesterday Hooker. I didn't mind dipping into the sick bank at all. We had the lake all to ourselves when we got out to the first hump. We even thought our luck had changed with the weather. The last two times Hooker and I went out, we got blown all over the lake.

I caught my first one within a few casts and thought we were going to wear them out like they had big orange T's painted on their bellies (Go Dogs). But a 13-incher on a green pumpkinseed tube was the best I could do.

We tried a little bit of everywhere - humps, points, rip rap, docks, trees, grass. We even tried to sneak into the aquarium. Seems like Hooker put 6 in the boat with one keeper to my 3 with no keepers.

Still, it was a mighty fine way to spend the morning.
