I woke up extra early this am ( 3:45 ), so I thought I would get up and go fishing before going to work sense it is waaayyy too hot in the afternoon now. I started out throwing a 1/2oz. Frenzy crank in a Shad color,,,On the very first cast I hooked a 3 1/2 pounder. moThumbsup For the next hour I hauled water. the only other lure I tried was a (ZOOM ) Junebug colored Baby Brushhog with NO luck. But even that was better than being at work, I can't wait for some cooler weather. Well, maybe my next report will be better.emoToast e

I like the frenzy's in the shad color! I bought a mess of them and love how they crank in the water and run true!

3:45 AM! That is really before the birds...but beats laying in bed thinking about fishing because you can't sleep.

Ah, the curse of the "fish on the first cast". I have had that many times. I have had friends try to shake fish off that bit on the first cast 'cause they were supersticious that they wouldn't catch any more that day. I am not supersticious but it has happened to me before.
